Myrtle Beach Daze

We just got back from a few days of R&R at North Myrtle Beach. Although NMB is not really my idea of a beach vacation (too crowded, crazy expensive, unbelievable traffic) we still managed to have a blast. We weren't the only ones having fun -- the kids counted license plates from 30 states and 2 Canadian provinces over our 4-day vacation, which gives you an idea of Myrtle Beach's popularity on a grand scale. The beach always provides great photo ops, so I persuaded Kat to pose for me the evening before we headed out. Here's one of my favorite shots. 479border

ooohhh!!!I want to keep her young just a little while longer, but already you can see the wonderful, beautiful young woman in there....love the pictures, esp the beach scene and the one where she is looking down. The beach scene is striking because of the simplicity of the pose yet drama evoked by the color and mood of the water and sky. I would love to try to use that in a painting....makes me wish I could paint people... Wish Dan had posed! Thanks for taking these!
